Brothers Noel and Peter Robinson were born in England and sold their furniture manufacturing business there prior to moving to the United States in 1989. Robinson and Robinson was founded in 1989 and in that year commenced manufacturing leather upholstered furniture in Tijuana, Mexico.

Today, Robinson & Robinson, Inc. has three divisions: LeatherTrend, specializing in leather, SofaTrend in fabric, and EasyTrend in motion upholstery.
